Rich
is the great grandson of
Patrick "Yankee Pat" Tinneny of Goladuff. He is the eldest of 7
children of John P. Tinneny and Helen M. Diamond of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, USA. He was raised in Philadelphia
and following graduation from high school in 1960 he
served nearly 29 years in the United States Air Force.
In 1964 he married Lee M. Havens of Westhampton Beach,
Long Island, New York. The couple had four
children Christopher (1965-1994), Patrick and Matthew
and four grandchildren John, Gavin, Christopher and
Alexander. Rich
and Lee live in Columbia, South Carolina
where after his Air
Force career, he worked for 15 years as the
Director of Admissions for a large community college.
Since 2004 he has worked as a consultant. In researching the family history he has
connected with Tinneny descendants around the world and made
many trips to Ireland where he and Lee have enjoyed the
wonderful experience of getting to know our new found
cousins there.
