Marty is the son of Bonnie Steele and Thomas Payton, the grandson of Catharine 'Kitty' McColgan and the great grandson of Mary Jane Tinneny of Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia.  Marty and Rebecca were married May 12, 2002 at the rose garden of the Walton Arts Centre in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
