Joe Simpson, a Philadelphia Policeman, was assigned to
the security detail for Vice President of the United
States, Joseph Biden. He was working with the Homeland
Security, Counter Terrorism unit. The occasion was Vice
President Biden’s visit to Philadelphia to attend the
traditional Army Navy football game December 8, 2012.
Joe is the great-great grandson of
Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny
of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, N.
Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia. He is the
grandson of Mary “Mona” Tinneny and Edward Haughey and
the son of Mary Lee Haughey and Albin “Chick” Simpson.
