Maryam McManus, the daughter of Sami M.
Hassan and Karen McManus of Glasgow, Scotland and
Toronto, Canada, was awarded a graduate degree November
26, 2025. She earned a Master of Education Degree in Adult Learning and Global Change from the
University of
British Colombia, Vancouver, Canada.
As of February 2026 Maryam was working
full time for Trent University and planning on pursuing
a doctoral degree.
Maryam is the granddaughter of Patrick
and Mary McGillivray McCulloch McManus of Glasgow,
Scotland; great-granddaughter of James and Mary Carney
McManus Jr.; great-great-granddaughter of James and
Catherine Tinneny McManus Sr. and
great-great-great-granddaughter of Patrick and Margaret
Tummon Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County
Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
