Joan Walters
(nee McGroarty), on November 30, 2024, formerly
of Blackwood, New Jersey. Age 71.
Beloved
daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Murphy)
McGroarty. Loving mother of Danielle Smith. One
of five siblings to a sister and three brothers.
Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Joan spent
many years working at her parents' store,
McGroarty's Convenience Store, located in
Gloucester City, NJ. She also worked in local
retail sales throughout the years. Joan loved
animals. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching
TV mysteries and comedies. She also enjoyed
reading. Joan was also very devoted to saying
the rosary.
