Andrew Murray was the son of Mary Tinneny of Goladuff and Patrick Murray.  He was born at Derrykenny, County Fermanagh, Ireland.  He overcame the obstacle of being to young to serve in the army by changing the birth date on his birth certificate and successfully enlisted.  Andy spent seventeen years in the Army and served in many places including two tours of duty in India, in Palestine and in Egypt.
