Charlene is the daughter of Charles Kingston IV and Sarah “Sally”Kemp of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; granddaughter of Joseph and Isabella “Pat” McColgan Kemp of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; granddaughter of John and Mary Jane Tinneny McColgan and great-granddaughter of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and his wife Margaret Malloy.
