Christopher P. Tinneny

Christopher is
the son of Matthew and Jennifer
Cloer Tinneny. He is a member of the
Army Junior Reserve Officer Training
Corps (JROTC) at Ridgeview High
School in Columbia, South Carolina.
As a Cadet Private First Class he
holds the position of Team Leader,
First Squad, Ridgeview Blazer JROTC
Battalion.
On May 11,
2016, Chris was honored at the
school’s JROTC awards presentation
ceremony as recipient of the H L
Hunley award presented by The Sons
of Confederate Veterans Association.
He received a certificate, medal and
ribbon. The award was presented “For
demonstrating the traits of honor,
courage and commitment to his JROTC
unit, similar to characteristics of
those who perished aboard the HL
Hunley on February 17th,
1864.” See

Chris is the
grandson of Richard "Rich" and Lee
Tinneny of Columbia, South Carolina
and the great-great-great grandson
of Patrick
"Yankee Pat"
Tinneny of
Goladuff, Newtownbutler, county
Fermanagh, Northern Ireland;
Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
