Jennifer Anderson Tinneny was selected Westwood High
School, Blythewood, South Carolina Teacher of the Year
2023-24. Jennifer is the daughter of Scott and Jane
Anderson of West Columbia, South Carolina and the spouse of
Matthew R. Tinneny.
In
addition to her position as 12th grade English, Jennifer
is the Director of the Teacher Cadet Program at
Westwood. She also teaches 2 dual-credit college level
classes.
In
addition to her actual teaching role, she is the
Director of the SOAR Honors Academy at Westwood
(Scholars of Academic Rigor), which is part of the
Advanced Placement Capstone Program, which is the
College Board’s
highest-level program.
As a
result of this selection, Jennifer is Westwood’s
nomination for the Richland II School District Teacher
of the Year for 2023-24.
